Garden Guesthouse
Six suites and a lamplit dining pavilion around one walled garden.
The owners had run a busy hostel on the same land for twenty years. This time they wanted the opposite: six rooms, and quiet.
We turned every suite to face one walled garden, and put the shared rooms in a single open pavilion at its far end: breakfast in the morning, long dinners at night.
After dark the light stays low. The pavilion glows across the lawn, and the paths between the suites are lit at ankle height and nothing more.

The garden
Palms, frangipani and a lawn that runs up to the pavilion steps. The paths are laid so every suite shares the same view and none looks into another.
